Bring your bookmarks into Omoidashi Link

Your browser can save all your bookmarks (favorites) into a single file (an HTML file). Open that file in Omoidashi Link and every bookmark comes in at once. It only takes three steps.

✓ Exporting does not change your browser. Your bookmarks stay exactly as they are.

Step 1: Choose your browser

These steps are for computers (Mac / Windows). Tap a heading to open the instructions.

Google Chrome
Chrome⋮New tabHistoryBookmarks and listsSettings1

Shortcut: ⌘+⌥+B on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+O on Windows
  2. In the Bookmark manager, click “⋮” at the top right and choose “Export bookmarks”.
  3. When asked where to save, just click “Save”. A file named bookmarks_(date).html appears in your Downloads folder.
Safari (Mac)

In older Safari versions it is called “Export Bookmarks…”.
  3. Choose where to save and click “Export” (or “Save”). You get Safari Bookmarks.html.

iPhone, iPad and Android

Phone and tablet browsers cannot export bookmarks to a file. Use one of these instead:

Export on a computer: Use a computer that syncs with the same account (Mac Safari for iCloud, desktop Chrome for a Google account) and follow the steps above. You can also move links later with “Export CSV / Backup” and import that file on your phone.

Paste them: Collect links in a notes app and paste them into “📋 Add from text”.

Step 2: Find the exported file

The file usually goes to your Downloads folder. Its name ends with .html (for example bookmarks_2026_10_04.html). If it opens when you double-click it, that’s fine — you don’t need to open it.

Step 3: Import it into Omoidashi Link

Omoidashi Link📂 Import bookmarks1
  1. Open Omoidashi Link and press “📂 Import bookmarks”.
  2. Choose the .html file. (You can also drag the file onto the screen.)
  3. A confirmation screen appears. Choose themes if you like (you can add them later), then press “Add new only”. Done!

If something goes wrong

I can’t find the menu
Menu names can differ slightly between browser versions. Search your browser’s help for “export bookmarks” to see the latest steps.
I imported the same bookmarks twice
No problem. Identical URLs are detected and are not added again.
I want to keep my folders
On the confirmation screen, choose “Also use bookmark folder names as themes” to turn your top-level folders into tabs (themes).
